The Detroit East Alumnae Association of Delta Gamma was formed on September 18, 1951 at the home of our first President, Mary Belanger. Four years later, we became a chapter, adopting our original bylaws on May 17, 1955.
We have accomplished much ever since, the foremost being forming loyal and enduring friendships. We are proud of our service focused on sight conservation and aid to the blind and donations of almost $50,000 to organizations that support our philanthropic goals. All money raised through fundraising efforts goes to aid the blind and to support sight conservation.
Members of the Detroit East Delta Gamma Alumnae Association, originally the Grosse Pointe Chapter, share lifelong membership in one of the oldest and largest women's fraternities in the United States and Canada. We encompass many ages, collegiate chapters of initiation, and walks of life.
We welcome DG alums from all over SE Michigan to join us. There are no minimum number of meetings to attend, no requirement for community service, and no obligations except to pay reasonable dues, so please consider joining us. Friends await!
